Donegal Golf

Located on the Murvagh peninsula, Donegal Golf Club has stunning views of Donegal Bay and the surrounding countryside. Darren Clarke famously quoted it as being ‘one of his favourite courses in the world’. The course is a challenging par 73 and stretches over 7400 yards, with natural, outstanding panoramic views. Facilities here include; driving range, warm up area, putting, chipping and bunker practice areas.

Surf Rossnowlagh

Rossnowlagh beach is famous for it’s surfing due to the swell size of the waves, water quality and direction of the winds. It is best known for being one of Ireland’s best Blue Flag Beaches and one of the first places to be surfed in back in the 1960’s. Moreover, two vibrant surf schools operate from the main beach – ‘Rossnowlagh Surf School and Finn McCool Surf School. Catering from the advanced to the beginner. It is also a popular area for Kite and wind surfing.

Local attractions are in the nearby towns Killybegs and Donegal Town with Donegal Castle well worth a visit, as well as Durnesh Lake and Castle Adventure Open Farm – Ballyshannon. Rossnowlagh is a seaside village in Donegal. Rossnowlagh meaning ‘heavenly cove’ is regarded by many as the most scenic and dramatic beach in all the North West of Ireland.

Located on the coast and set in 8kms of Golden Sand, it is popular for water sports, surfing and water skiing. Rossnowlagh is ideal for both couples and families who are looking for a relaxing seaside getaway.

Moreover, it is ideal for bathing on its blue flag beach with lifeguards on duty during the summer to ensure optimum safety. It operates to the standards set by the EU Bathing Water Directive.

It is also perfect area for walking ang jogging and you can easily explore the coastal shoreline whilst enjoying the fresh sea air. Ballyshannon, Bundoran and Donegal Town are close by for those who wish to do a little shopping.
