Malin Head is the most northerly headland of the mainland of Ireland. It is a rural area with an active fishing & farming community; a place where there are plenty of things to do and places to see.
In Malin Head, it is a haven for all water sports namely swimming, kayaking, diving, or just paddling in the rock pools. Around the “head” you will find many different walking/cycling routes suitable for all different abilities and for all the family.
You can catch many different types of fish in this area depending where you cast your line, most popular are Pollock, Coalfish, Mackerel and Sea Trout. If you are interested in diving, the waters off Malin Head are rich in sunken Ocean liners & U-Boats. Golfers can also enjoy one of the 6 golf courses in Inishowen.
And you don’t have to venture far for food, drink and entertainment as there are bars within walking distance.
