Rossnowlagh meaning ‘heavenly cove’ is regarded by many as the most scenic and dramatic beach in all the North West of Ireland.   Located on the coast and set in 8kms of golden sand, it is popular for water sports, board sailing, surfing and water skiing.  It is ideal for bathing and lifeguards are on duty during the summer to ensure optimum safety at all times.  It operates to the standards set by the EU Bathing Water Directive.
 
It is also an ideal area for walking and jogging and you can easily explore the coastal shoreline whilst enjoying the fresh sea air.  Ballyshannon, Bundoran and Donegal Town are close by for those who wish to do a little shopping.
